Minor AAA Petes Bantam Icefest Hockey Tournament runs Oct. 15-18
Boston Pizza will once again host the Peterborough Minor Hockey Council's Minor AAA Petes Bantam Icefest Hockey Tournament next weekend.
The tournament, which runs from Oct. 15 to 18, features minor hockey talent from across the province with teams from the United States as well.
"This year, the Mississauga Rebels, who are ranked third in Ontario, and Syracuse, who is ranked second in the U.S., will participate in the Minor Bantam division,” PMHC president David Beckett said.
“The quality and intensity of play will be second to none. These kids are all working hard at their craft, and we will get to see some exceptional hockey in Peterborough.”
This is the ninth consecutive year that Boston Pizza will be sponsoring the event.
“Boston Pizza continues to be an enthusiastic sponsor of this tournament,” Beckett added. “And their support of our mission and our intentions reflects their keen interest in the development of minor hockey in Peterborough.”
Action begins on the afternoon of Oct. 15 as the Petes face off against the Mississauga Senators at the Evinrude Centre Atom Pad. Games will take place at the Evinrude, the Kinsmen Civic Centre and the Memorial Centre throughout the weekend.
