Residential Move

Have you recently moved to Peterborough County and want to try out and play for the AAA Petes? Please contact our OMHA Representative, Craig Field, and indicate the type of transfer you need to make. The transfer process differs depending on where you lived and with which organization your child played before moving to Peterborough.

OMHA transfer – Any player/bench staff coming in from another OMHA Association.

If you are moving from one OMHA Centre to another, OMHA Regulation 3.7 Residential Move, will apply.

Regulation 3.7 Residential Move (from the 2018-19 OMHA Manual of Operations)

a) Any player who legitimately moves after December 1st of any season shall have the choice of finishing the season with his original team or with a team in the Centre to which he has moved. If the move takes place on or before December 1st he will be only eligible to play for a team in the Centre to which he has moved.

b) Any player who moves into the jurisdiction of another Centre or any player who resides in a right of choice area and makes any change of residence after December 1st prior to the end of the current season must file a residence questionnaire with the OMHA office.

c) Any player who enrolls at a University, College, Trade, Technical or Business school, or moves for employment outside his Home Centre must file a residence questionnaire with the OMHA office. Wherever a residence questionnaire is necessary, the player in question will not be eligible to play OMHA hockey until his case has been approved by the OMHA Regional Director and permission granted.
