Steve Richey Tournament of Champions-January 17 to 20, 2019
Submitted By PMHC on Tuesday, January 15, 2019
The Peterborough Minor Hockey Council is pleased to announce the Annual Steve Richey Tournament of Champions, to be held in Peterborough, January 17 to 20, 2019.

“Peterborough will host some of the top Minor Midget and Major Midget teams this weekend”, said Mike Martone, President of the PMHC. "Over the past 5 years alone, more than 200 players that have participated in this tournament were drafted to the OHL.  Many others have accepted scholarships to NCAA schools.

The tournament will feature 18 Minor Midget and 24 Major Midget teams, and will be played at the Evinrude, Kinsmen, Memorial Centre and Norwood arenas. The schedule is posted on the PMHC website, www.peterboroughminorpetes.ca.

“I am thrilled to have such remarkable hockey talent come to Peterborough to show their skills every year,” stated Martone. “It has become a “must attend” tournament for teams across Ontario and the United States and it is a testament to the hard work of our tournament committee, and its volunteers, that such great teams and great players keep coming back year after year. “

Hockey fans should try to get down to the Memorial Centre for Minor Hockey Night in Peterborough on Friday, January 18. We will feature 4 games commencing at 4:00 p.m.
