Arena Update - City of Peterborough
The PMHC is excited and looking forward to the return of hockey activities starting Monday, January 31, 2022.

Please read the following Arena guidelines from the City of Peterborough.

1. Capacities

As of Monday, January 31, 2022, capacities will be 60 for on ice participants (players, coaches, officials etc) and spectator capacities being reduced to 2 persons per participant. This ensures that across all facilities our numbers remain below 50% or 500 person capacities in spectating areas, which also supports physical distancing requirements. This capacity will be in effect for the initial “step”, which is 21 days with step two planned to be effective Feb/21, at which time we will plan to increase this number.

2. Physical Distancing- Common Areas and Dressing Rooms

Please note that PPH has confirmed that physical distancing is no longer required in facilities with POV requirements. This will no longer affect dressing room capacities and assignments as well. While this will be removed; we still do encourage distancing from non-household members and remind that masks continue to be worn at all times except during activity, or consuming food and/beverage (see below #4).

3. Active Screening

While the province has changed contact tracing requirements, there will be no change to our active screening tool as of Monday reopening. We are consulting internally and with PPH on how to adjust this to still complete required active screening but not collect the information the form requires. Please ensure all visitors complete screening using https://www.peterborough.ca/ArenaScreen/ .

4. Food and Beverage

Please note that food and beverage will now be permitted. This must be consumed while seated as per the regulation, and we remind individuals that there should be no close contact with non-household members while unmasked to consume and F&B item.

5. Safety Plans

Updated safety plan from all users will be required to be completed. We are reviewing our online form for our safety plans and will communicate an updated link and details to update your plans based on the various changes with the regulations. Previous plans submitted will be acceptable for Monday and until further notice.

Thank you and the PMHC looks forward to seeing everyone back on the ice starting this week!
