The Petes will be on hand to lend their support to the Drive, which has a goal of collecting 700 bags of equipment for Indigenous Youth in the province. Since its inception in 2015, the FNHED has collected, organized, sanitized, and donated thousands of equipment sets.
The organization also accepts cash donations through Their Opportunity . Tax receipts will be issued, and all funds will be used to buy new hockey helmets and support equipment transportation costs.
Requested equipment donations include skates, elbow pads, shin pads, shoulder pads, helmets, pants, sticks, bags, and goalie equipment. There is not a need for undergarments, jerseys, socks, jocks/jills, or neck guards.
Fans can learn more about community initiatives and other local events by tuning in to Thursday Night Live every Thursday at 8pm ET, exclusively on the Petes Facebook page . This week’s guest on TNL is Sportsnet analyst Sam Cosentino.
