Midget Tournament of Champions, January 18-21
The Peterborough Minor Hockey Council is pleased to announce the 12th Annual Midget Tournament of Champions, to be held in Peterborough, January 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2018.

“Peterborough will host some of the top Minor Midget and Major Midget teams. It will be a great experience for these players who are eligible for the OHL Priority Selection to come together this weekend and showcase their talent and skills for the scouts” said PMHC President Walter DiClemente.

The tournament will feature 20 Minor Midget and 26 Major Midget teams, and will be played at the Evinrude, Kinsmen, Memorial Centre, Douro and Norwood arenas.

The schedule is posted on the PMHC website, www.peterboroughminorpetes.ca.

Over the past 6 years alone, more than 250 players that have participated in this tournament were drafted to the OHL. Many others have accepted scholarships to NCAA schools. The tournament is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the “AAA” Minor Petes as a first class organization and provide the players with an environment where they can compete at the highest possible level in their division.

It is estimated that the tournament will draw over a 1000 visitors to the City and County of Peterborough over the four days that the event is held. Hockey fans should try to get down to the Memorial Centre for Minor Hockey Night in Peterborough on Friday, January 19. We will feature 4 games commencing at 4:00 pm.
