“Peterborough will host some of the top OHL prospects and teams this weekend”, said David Beckett, President of the PMHC.  “Over the past 4 years alone, over 200 players that have participated in this tournament were drafted to the OHL.  Many others have accepted scholarships to NCAA schools.  Many of the top OHL prospects will participate again this year.  5 teams in the OHL Cup rankings, and 10 of the top 20 minor midget teams will compete here this year”, said Beckett.

The tournament will feature 20 Minor Midget and 15 Major Midget teams, and will be played at the Evinrude, Kinsmen and Memorial Centre.  The schedule is posted on the PMHC website, www.minorpetes.ca.  “I am thrilled to have such remarkable hockey talent come to Peterborough to show their skills every year.  The Fitzsimmons Towing and Repair Tournament of Champions has become a “must attend” tournament for teams across Ontario and the United States.  “This tournament is also very proud to have the generous and ongoing support of Fitzsimmons Towing & Repair”.
