As you are all aware, Rowan's Law has been passed and it brings to light the severity of head injuries. Concussions are a difficult injury to diagnose and rehabilitate, which means that we, as an organization, need to make sure we are doing our due diligence to keep our players safe.
PMHC has partnered with Brad Anderson from
Peterborough Athletics Concussion Awareness (PACA) and are hosting a Concussion Education Night for both Parents and Bench Staff. We have decided to have 2 different seminars, one for Bench Staff and one for parents and players.
We have also attempted to divided the organization up on two separate nights to accommodate practice and game schedules. In saying that, if your parents want to attend the other parent session or vise-versa if your bench staff want to attend the other information night that they are not scheduled for, that is fine too.
