The Peterborough Minor
Hockey Council is pleased to announce the 11th Annual Midget
Tournament of Champions, to be held in Peterborough January 20, 21 and 22,
2017.
“Peterborough will
host some of the top Minor Midget and Major Midget teams this weekend”, said
Walter DiClemente, President of the PMHC.
“Over the past 5 years
alone, more than 200 players that have participated in this tournament were
drafted to the OHL. Many others have
accepted scholarships to NCAA schools.
The tournament will feature 18 Minor Midget and 23 Major Midget teams, and will be played at the Evinrude, Kinsmen, Memorial Centre and Norwood arenas. The schedule is posted on the PMHC website.
“I am thrilled to have such remarkable hockey talent come to Peterborough to show their skills every year,” stated DiClemente. “It has become a “must attend” tournament for teams across Ontario and the United States and it is a testament to the hard work of our tournament committee, and its volunteers, that such great teams and great players keep coming back year after year. “
