Just a welcoming note to let you know about some of the activities available to you on the weekend of October 17th – 19th this year while you are visiting Peterborough for your child’s hockey tournament.
Running all weekend is the 39th annual Hand of Man Art & Craft Sale at the
Morrow Building, right next to the Memorial Centre. There will be Art & paintings, baking, ceramics, Christmas & country décor, crochet, fibre art,
honey & maple products, jewellery, knitting, photography, pottery, quilting,
sewing, soaps, stained glass, wood turning, and much more.
On Saturday morning there is the Farmer’s Market from 7am – 1pm in the
Parking lot of the Peterborough Memorial Centre and Morrow Building.
The Canoe Museum, 910 Monaghan Road, is known Canada wide with
approximately 100 historical canoes on display.
And last but not least, there is the Peterborough Zoo, 1230 Water Street,
With free admittance and perfect if you have small children to entertain.
