Seminar on Long Term Athletic Development
On Saturday April 27th, Josh Gillam and Broedie Birkhof of Hybrid Performance will host an educational seminar, free-of-charge, for the PMHC family. The goal of this seminar is to share knowledge with parents and players about Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD).

Date: Saturday, April 27
Time: 1-3 pm
Place: Evinrude Banquet Hall

This engaging session will present current research on the following topics:

     - The 5 W's (who, what, where, when & why) of LTAD.
     - Early Sport Specialization
     - Athlete Age & Maturation
     - Strength and Conditioning Protocols for LTAD
     - Implementation of Strength Training for Youth

The foundational concepts of LTAD are built around establishing a physiological framework to manage the focus, volume and type of training applied to youth as they develop through childhood, adolescence and into adulthood. This seminar, will be the first of a series presented by Josh, Broedie and the team at Hybrid. We hope that by exploring Long Term Athletic Development in more depth, it will contribute to prolonged overall athleticism and physical health in the youth of our community. We look forward to the opportunity for open discussion and sharing of knowledge on this very important topic.
