Pre-Concussion Baseline Testing
Dr. Ian Horseman of the Posture Clinic will be providing free pre-concussion baseline testing again this year. Team testing was scheduled for SAT, AUG 6 at The Posture Clinic, 346 Charlotte Street, Peterborough. If you were unable to attend on that day and would like your player tested, please contact Dr. Horseman's office directly 705-876-7349.

The testing will involve completing short tasks using a tablet (iPad). While Dr. Horseman will keep records on file, because they are considered “health records”, they are strictly confidential, and only releasable with the consent of the player and parent.

Dr. Horseman will also re-test your player, for free, if he or she is thought to have sustained a concussion. The only cost any player would incur would be in situations in which the player chose to obtain rehabilitation treatments from Dr. Horseman (or any other private provider) – there is absolutely no obligation to go there, just because he did the testing before or after a concussion.

Your team manager will contact you with information about testing times. Given that it is free of charge, and without obligation, the PMHC encourages you to have your child undergo pre-concussion baseline testing, though are not mandating it.
