PMHC Welcomes 46 Teams to Boston Pizza IceFest
October 17, 2017 – The Peterborough Minor Hockey Council (PMHC) is once again honoured to host the 2017 Boston Pizza Icefest “AAA” Tournament from Thursday, October 19 through Sunday, October 22 at arenas in Peterborough and Norwood.

The Boston Pizza Icefest “AAA” Tournament will host 46 “AAA” hockey teams from Peewee through Bantam, from all over Ontario, Quebec, and New York.

The games will be played at a number of area arenas, including the Evinrude Centre, Kinsmen Arena, Memorial Centre, and the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre with the action starting at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.

“The Peterborough Minor Hockey Council is excited to host and oversee the Boston Pizza Icefest “AAA” Tournament”, said PMHC President Walter DiClemente. “Our tournament committee is excited and looking forward to hosting the first ever major peewee division in the tournament as well.”

“The tournament is a fantastic opportunity that allows us to showcase the “AAA” Minor Petes as a first class organization and provide these players with an environment where they can compete at the highest possible level in their division.”

“We estimate that the tournament will draw over a 1000 visitors to the City and County of Peterborough over the four days that the event is held.”
