Petes get a tie on the road at home

The Major Midget AAA Petes opened their season as the home team in what seemed like on the road in the beautiful Norwood Arena agains the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs
The teams got off to a quiet first period with Kingston testing Petes goalie Blake Curran with more than the Petes could muster. Period two got off to a good start with a fast pace both ways when Peterborough got into penalty trouble which resulted in a loss of momentum and 2 goals by the Fronts.
Once the puck dropped in the third it was all Peterborough with a flurry of activity and chances in the Kingston zone resulting in two goals to tie the game at 2. Goals scored by 18 Alexander Nicoladies and 12 Aaron Toms, with assists to 57 Josh Boyce (2), 9 Mathew Wilbee and 18 Nicoladies. Blake Curran was very solid in net. The Petes had to settle with a point from this one, although the late surge was not unlike Peterborough's 3 goals scored in the last minute in preseason action against the Clairington Toros.
Petes next action is this coming weekend in the Toronto Titans Tournament where they take on the Sudbury Wolves at 9:00 PM at the Scotia Bank Pond in Toronto.
