Midgets Win Wild One in Pre-season
The Major Midget Petes played host to the Clairington Toros tonight in a pre-season rematch, where previous action saw them loose a close one 4-3 to the Toros one week ago.
The Toros outshot the Petes by a wide margin in the first two periods with a total of 32 shots on Blake Curran who stood on his head, allowing only 2 pucks to cross the redline.
In the Third Period, the Petes opened things up to climb back into the game tying things up at 2's. Clairington then got the go ahead goal with 6:37 remaining in the third and held on to that lead until the final minute when the Petes scored 3 unanswered goals, winning the game and tying the pre-season series at one a piece.
The Petes are back in action Friday night when they take on the Quinte Red Devils at 8:00 PM at the Evinrude Centre. -- Go Petes Go
