The Rehill Building Supplies Bantam AAA Petes began their OMHA playoffs, beating Kingston at home on Saturday night, then losing in overtime Sunday
On Saturday, Kingston gained a quick 2-0 lead before Avery Cook got Peterborough on the board at the end of the first period
Peterborough rebounded with three goals by Brett Robertson, Austin Pearce and Tyler Deline in the second period, then Nolan Burke and Boyd Stahlbaum scored in the third to lead Peterborough to a 6-4 win.
In Kingston on Sunday, the Petes took the early lead with a goal by Pearce, assisted by Sam Toms. Kingston scored two in the third period. Stahlbaum made a nice pass to Burke, who notched a tying goal. with 0.51 left in the game. In overtime, both teams had opportunities, but it was a deflection off a Kingston player, sending the puck past Peterborough goalie, Will Craig, that won the game 3-2.
The series continues Thursday at 8pm at the Evinrude with Game 4 Saturday in Kingston.
