Rehill Building Supplies AAA Bantam Petes Hockey team travelled to Michigan last weekend for the Port Huron Silver Stick
They opened the tournament with a strong game against Chicago Fury.

Kal Watson scored halfway through the second period to put the Petes on the board, then Chicago rebounded with two goals.   Avery Cook tied it early in the third and the game remained a 2-2 final.  The Petes skated hard with many opportunities, and were kept in the game by strong goaltending from Will Cranley.

In the second game, Peterborough found the back of the net eight times to beat the Vaughan Kings 8-3.  The forward line of Kal Watson, Nolan Burke and Avery Cook combined for seven of the eight goals, with another being added by Ben Lukinuk.  Boyd Stahlbaum, Brett Robertson, Tyler Deline, Chase Stillman, Watson and Burke contributed assists.  Will Craig dominated between the pipes and held off a strong attack from Vaughan to get the win.

Peterborough faced Oakland Grizzlies but came up short, losing 3-0.  Oakland is a top US team and the Petes did well to hold them to 3 goals.    In their final game, the Rehill Building Supplies Bantam Petes beat Pittsburg Selects 2-0.  Watson and Burke scored for Peterborough with assists to Cook, Watson and Burke.  Will Craig recorded a well-deserved shutout.

The Petes finished their round-robin games with 2 wins, a tie and a loss, but it wasn't enough to advance to the quarter finals.  The team played some exciting hockey and hope to carry the momentum into their last regular season games.
