Major Peewee AAA Petes lost
4-3 in over time in the first game of the ETA second round series. The team
traveled to Kingston on Sunday, March 12, 2017 to play the Kingston Jr.
Frontenacs.
Kingston took the lead with an early goal in the first period but Pete’s Tommy Pollock retaliated with a quick goal assisted by Parker Burgess to tie the game. Kingston moved ahead with another first period goal making it a 2-1 game. Kingston scored again early in the third period taking a 3-1 lead. With less than a minute left in the game, Nick Roode and Ryan Bell scored for the Petes assisted by Ty Harris to tie the game and forcing the teams to go into overtime.
Two in a half minutes into overtime, Kingston scored to take a 4-3 win over the Petes.
Pete’s Nate Cannons played a strong game in net.
