played three games this weekend. On Friday, November 25, 2016, the team travelled
to Pickering to play the western division leaders Ajax-Pickering Raiders. The
Petes played a
hard-fought game ending in a 5-2 loss. Cole Lester
scored the first goal with assists from Cole Pottle and Phoenix Smith. Jack
Carey notched the second goal with assists from Ryan Bell and Jackson Stewart. Nathan Cannons supported the team in net.
On Saturday, November 26, 2016, the Petes travelled to Bradford to go up against the York Simcoe Express. The game ended in 1-1 tie. Nick Roode scored the only goal assisted by Jackson Stewart and Ty Harris. Chase DeNoble tended net. The Major Peewees AAA Petes downed the Central Ontario Wolves 5-3 in a home game at the Evinrude on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Nick Roode led the scoring with a hat trick. Jackson Stewart and Nate Bassett scored one each. Assists went to Cole Lester, Jack Carey Cole Pottle, Carter Doucet and Will Corcoran. Chase DeNoble played a strong game in net. Next weekend (December 2 – 5), the Major Peewee Petes travel to Hamilton to participate in the 2016 Annual Hamilton Junior Bulldogs Rebok Classic Tournament. Their first game is on Friday, December 2, 2016 against the USA Utica Jr. Comets.
