Petes Defeat Clairington Toros
The RE Young Rentals Midget AAA Petes broke an 11 game loosing streak Wednesday night at the Darlington Arena, with a 6 - 3 win over the Clairington Toros.
The Petes have found goals hard to come by for much of the regular season, despite netting three in a 3-0 win agains the 37-10-6 Oakville Rangers in the Peterborough Tournament of Champions this past weekend.
The Petes got on the board to tie the game at one with a goal by 15 Will Hickey, assisted by 9 Lyndon LeMoire and 10 Mitch Ogilvie, followed by an un assisted goal by 18 Josh Traynor to tie the game at two.
Then the flood gates opened for the Petes as they got goals from 9 Lyndon LeMiore, 2 Liam Bandage (2) and 6 Jesse Merrill. Assist from 15 Will Hickey, 9 Lyndon LeMiore and 17 Cole Ellis.
Petes next action is Friday Night where they hope to extending their winning ways vs the North Central Predators, 8:00 PM at the Evinrude Centre.
