Billy Smith Peterborough AAA Peewee Petes Win Boston Top Ten Showcase
The Billy Smith Sells Peterborough AAA Peewee Petes travelled to Boston to participate in the Boston Top Ten Superseries this weekend. They were undefeated in 5 games, with a record of 4 wins and a tie.
On Friday, the Petes took on the Mercer Chiefs, coming away with a 6-3 win & the Connecticut Oil Kings, winning again 6-3.
On Saturday the Petes played the ISS Kings to a tough-fought 3-3 tie, before regaining their winning form against the Connecticut Wolf Pack 4-2 Saturday night.
Tied for first place going into their last game on Sunday, the Petes shook off a slow start against the Long Island Royals, to win a shutout victory of 5-0. They accumulated 9 points in total, to win the 2002 division!
The AAA Peewee Petes begin their regular season in the OMHA's ETA on September 26th, when they host the Oshawa Jr. Generals.
