Submitted By Tasha Deline on Monday, January 29, 2018
The Foley Bus Lines Minor Midget Petes finished their regular season with a loss and a tie this weekend, but in first place in the ETA East.

On Saturday night, the Petes lost 6-3 to York Simcoe Express.  Avery Cook opened the scoring on a breakaway.  Nolan Burke and Kalvyn Watson added singles, with assists to Austin Pearce, Watson and Burke.  Will Cranley made many key saves.

On Sunday, the Petes tied Central Ontario 3-3.  The Petes had many offensive opportunities, but Central Ontario persevered for the tie to finish 4th in the ETA east and gain a playoff spot.  Brett Robertson scored in the second period when his shot went off a Central Ontario skate directly into the net.  Cook and Watson also scored, assisted by Gabe Lemire, Will Everson, Burke and Watson.  Will Craig was strong in net.

The Minor Midget Petes advance to the OMHA Playoffs against Central Ontario.
