2016-2017 AAA Tryout Information
2016 - 2017 AAA Tryouts are scheduled for April 11th -24th.  

ONLINE PETES AAA TRYOUT REGISTRATION FORM

Please complete and submit the online registration, see below for the link or you will find it on the "Tryouts" tab.  

Also, you must provide a permission to skate form (PTS).  

See below for instructions on how to get a PTS. 

Players will not be allowed on the ice without a PTS - no exceptions. 

Finally the dates and times for the Minor Petes AAA tryouts will be available on the Tryout Schedule, see link below or you can find it under the "Tryout" tab.

Keep an eye on this site as ice time may be added for exhibition games, also Tryout dates, times and location may change because of scheduling conflicts.

AAA 2016-2017 Tryout Registration Information

Tryout Registration: 16-17_Tryout_Registration


Cost:  $25  1.5hrs    $30  2hrs
NB Players trying out for the age group above them must attend and pay for both the tryout for the older
age group and their own age group.

Players must bring their own jersey.  Pinnies will be provided.


Import Players: 
All Minor Petes AAA teams will be accepting players on waivers (import players). Please note that import players must provide a paper copy of the release from their home centre.


Permission To Skate (PTS)

NB  Players will not be allowed on the ice without a PTS - no exceptions.

In order to attend tryouts for AAA hockey or Junior hockey tryouts you must have a permission to skate form completed from your home centre. 
If your home centre is Peterborough and you wish to tryout for Peterborough Zone AAA hockey (PMHC Petes) you must complete the on line permission to skate form request and submit. You will receive a confirmation of your submission sent to the email address you provided with your request. All requests must be submitted individually, the form will not be accepted if requesting for more than one player per form.  The permission to skate (PTS) forms will be emailed to the address on the request once they are able to be sent.

Team Expenses:  These expenses vary by team depending on what is included in the team budget and whether or not the team does any fundraising.  Typical expenses include; Tournament Registration, Non Parent Coach expenses, Buses, Trainer Supplies, Team Gatherings, Team Pictures …. A team budget will be presented by the coach to the parents for their approval prior to the start of the season.

 

AAA Petes Development Program:  Led by 2 time Stanley Cup Champion Cory Stillman our very successful and innovative development group sessions include instruction by, long term pro player and coach Jamey Hicks, former OHL player-NHL Draft Pick-Professional Player Chad Cavanagh, former OHL head coach and World Under 18 Gold Medal winning head coach Brian Hayton, retired pro goalie and current Peterborough Pete's Assistant & Goalie Coach Andrew Verner, former Peterborough Pete Mike Martone, and this year's Novice AAA head coach Matt Bowen.

Between August and December, the Development Program works with each team on the fundamentals of the game, including dynamic skating that focuses on proper stride, edgework, and quicker feet. The focus onshooting properly with your head up and proper technique with added innovative drills to incorporate, stickhandling and passing in tight areas. We offer to all team in our organization 10-12 sessions (subject to team schedules) with the development group.
